It’s hard to define oneself objectively, but here’s a list that somewhat describes me from the inside out. I am…
~ a native of Arkansas
~ a wife and mother, with two children who fill my life with light and joy
~ the youngest of five children
~ sometimes shy, but always friendly
~ a writer, whose “career” began at age 6, after my eldest sister typed one of my short stories and joined the rest of the family in declaring it a masterpiece
~ blessed and humbled by readers who share with me how my work impacts their lives
~ a chocoholic
~ always searching for the sweetness in the sour things in life (don’t all chocoholics do this?)
~ a lover of all types of music, primarily gospel, jazz and R&B
~ a lover of words, including inspirational nonfiction books, women’s fiction, suspense novels and specifically anything written by novelist J. California Cooper
~ a professional and volunteer advocate for children – my own, those in my community and those around the world.
~ one who sees a brick wall and instead of giving up, prays about whether to climb it, walk around it or find a way to borough through it to the blessings on the other side
~ a believer in the innate goodness of people
~ always searching for a great story to share!
~ thankful for the grace and favor of God
