Join Me on My Blog Tour!
Sunday, February 14th, 2010You’re Invited! Enter the “Dreams That Won’t Let Go” Blog Contest
Monday, February 1st, 2010Do you have a dream that won’t go away, no matter how busy life gets, how blessed you already feel, or how many obstacles seem to block the way?
I hope so, because each of us has a purpose and a passion that’s uniquely our own. Regardless of whether others understand it or embrace it, until we follow the dream in our heart, we may never feel fulfilled.
To help you focus on making your goal your reality, I invite you to participate in the Dreams That Won’t Let Go Blog Contest!
It’s simple:
1) Go to my website blog at http://www.StacyHawkinsAdams.com/blog and comment on the Dreams That Won’t Let Go Blog Contest post.
2) Write a paragraph or two about a deep desire that has a hold on your heart.
3) Share one lesson you learned, or a message you received, from reading “Dreams That Won’t Let Go” that will help you move a step closer to realizing your dream.
You MUST complete both Steps 2 and 3 to be eligible for a prize. If you haven’t read the novel, buy your copy today!
This book is a quick read, and in its pages you’ll discover how siblings Reuben, Indigo and Yasmin deal with secrets from the past that could tear them apart, or be the truth they need to strengthen their family, break unhealthy patterns, and realize their dreams.
DEADLINE is Feb. 12, 2010.
I’ll personally read every entry, along with two independent judges, who will help me decide which three entries are compelling enough to win these prizes:
Prize One: A telephone chat with me about your writing goals (if you’re an aspiring writer) or about the plots and themes in Dreams That Won’t Let Go and my other novels.
Prize Two: A free session with career and life coach Helena Nyman
http://www.executivecenterofexcellence.com
Prize Three: A set of planning and purpose nonfiction books that will help you craft a plan to reach your goal.
These prizes are similar to those given away during last month’s Facebook Launch Party for Dreams That Won’t Let Go. Here’s a second chance to win, simply by sharing your hopes and dreams, and in the process, inspiring others.
Read the novel, and enjoy!
(Remember, the deadline is Feb. 12!)

A Reminder of Why We’re Moms
Sunday, May 10th, 2009Happy Mother’s Day!
My friend and fellow author Marilynn Griffith stops by today to provide a peek into her world of motherhood and family. She’s the author of eight novels, mother to seven children, wife to a deacon and proof of God’s enduring mercy. (I want to be like her when I grow up!
) You can catch Marilynn sharing her family adventures all week on the Mom’s the Word Blog Tour.
A Stick and a Prayer – A Mother’s Day Devotion
“As surely as the LORD your God lives,” she replied, “I don’t have
any bread—only a handful of flour in a jar and a little oil in a jug. I am gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son, that we may eat it—and die.”
Elijah said to her, “Don’t be afraid. Go home and do as you have said. But first make a small cake of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me, and then make something for yourself and your son. (1 Kings 11:12-13, NIV)
A few summers ago, it was my daughter’s last day of band camp and our van, Blue Bartholomew (who has since been retired) refused to turn over. For several days prior, the van had been sputtering and coughing and making us generally nervous, but we’d hoped to make it through band camp at least. It wasn’t to be. (more…)
Blog Tour Thank You / Congrats to Grand Prize Winner!
Saturday, January 31st, 2009Thanks to everyone who participated in my blog tour last month and shared some of the things on your personal “someday lists.”
They ranged from wanting to write a book to desiring to start a program to help troubled youths. Some want to return to school and others want to travel. Whatever dream you’re nourishing, know that it is in some way part of your destiny. Otherwise, God wouldn’t have placed that burning desire in your heart.
My charge and challenge to you today is to do ONE thing, take ONE step toward making that dream a reality. It could be as simple as buying an empty notebook to begin jotting notes for your book or as bold as making a deposit on the Caribbean cruise you want to take this summer. Just do it and trust that when you take that first step, God will bless your faith in Him, and in yourself.
A sincere thanks to my blog tour hosts across the nation and to the readers who read The Someday List and penned a review.
If you’ve read the book and enjoyed it, will you please ask everyone you know to buy a copy for themselves and for someone else who needs inspiration to live better and be better? Yes, I said buy, not share! LOL The more books we sell now, the more stores will keep it in stock, so that others can be touched by its message.
Congrats to Rhonda McKnight of the Atlanta, Georgia area. She is the winner of The Someday List Blog Tour Grand Prize: A $50 American Express gift card, autographed copies of all of my books and anthologies and a discount on web design services from Tywebbin Creations.
Have a great day, and remember that in all you do, do it to the glory of our great God.

Today’s Scripture: Phillipians 3:13-14 – No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
Thought for Today: Looking back keeps us anchored in yesterday. Ask God to forgive you for yesterday’s mistakes, then forgive yourself. With that weight lifted from your shoulders and your heart, there’s nothing you can’t do, through His grace and might.
